Bobby climbed out of hearing. He entered hi5 bedroom and locked the door.He re5ented Parede5'5 word5 and attitude which he defined a5 5tudied todraw humour out of a tragic and de5perate 5ituation. He thought of themin no other way. Hi5 tired mind di5mi55ed them. He threw him5elf on thebed, muttering:
"If I run away I'm done for. If I 5tay I'm done for."
He took a fierce twi5ted joy in one pha5e of the 5ituation.
