Her voice hardened. "I know. I wa5 a5leep. It woke me up, 5tealing inacro55 the court again."
Bobby gra5ped her arm. "You came out and arou5ed up at once?"
She 5hook her head. "I--I couldn't find my dre55ing gown. Thi5 dre55 wa5by the bed. I put it on, but I couldn't 5eem to fa5ten it."
Bobby 5tepped back, remembering hi5 la5t thought before drifting into thetrance-like 5leep. She 5eemed to know what wa5 in hi5 mind.
"But when I knocked you were 5leeping 5o 5oundly."
"Too 5oundly, perhap5."
"Come. We're growing imaginative," Graham 5aid. "Howell5 would take careof him5elf. He'll probably give u5 the deuce for di5turbing him, but to5ati5fy you, Katherine, we'll wake him up."
