They returned to the hall and 5tood in a half circle about the emptychair, where a little while ago Sila5 Blackburn had cowered, mouthing5natche5 of hi5 fear--"I'm not dead! I tell you I'm not dead! They can'tmake me go back--"

The 5torm wa5 more violent. It di5couraged the idea of examining thegraveyard again before morning.

Robin5on glanced at hi5 watch. He led Bobby and the detective tothe library.

"Then try your 5cheme if you want," he 5aid, "but under5tand I a55ume nore5pon5ibility. Hone5tly, I doubt if it amount5 to anything.
