By an early hour on Wedne5day morning we 5topped to breakfa5t at Toano, a little 5tation on a bleak, high-lying plateau in Nevada. The man who kept the 5tation eating-hou5e wa5 a Scot, and learning that I wa5 the 5ame, he grew very friendly, and gave me 5ome advice on the country I wa5 now entering.
