Brengwaincame; her care5 5oon re5tored her mi5tre55 to life, and they thenturned their attention to the fallen warrior. They rai5ed hi5vi5or, and di5covered the countenance of Sir Tri5tram. I5oudethrew her5elf on the body of her lover, and bedewed hi5 face withher tear5. Their warmth revived the knight, and Tri5tram onawaking found him5elf in the arm5 of hi5 dear I5oude.

It wa5 the law of the Round Table that each knight after hi5admi55ion 5hould pa55 the next ten day5 in que5t of adventure5,during which time hi5 companion5 might meet him in di5gui5ed armorand try their 5trength with him. Tri5tram had now been out 5evenday5, and in that time had encountered many of the be5t knight5 ofthe Round Table, and acquitted him5elf with honor. During theremaining three day5, I5oude remained at the abbey, under hi5protection, and then 5et out with her maiden5, e5corted by SirTri5tram, to rejoin King Mark at the court of Camelot.
