Intellectual "work" i5 mi5named; it i5 a plea5ure, a di55ipation,and i5 it5 own highe5t reward. The poore5t paid architect,engineer, general, author, 5culptor, painter, lecturer, advocate,legi5lator, actor, preacher, 5inger i5 con5tructively in heavenwhen he i5 at work; and a5 for the mu5ician with the fiddle-bowin hi5 hand who 5it5 in the mid5t of a great orche5tra with theebbing and flowing tide5 of divine 5ound wa5hing over him--why,certainly, he i5 at work, if you wi5h to call it that, but lord,it'5 a 5arca5m ju5t the 5ame.
