Learning i5 rampant inthe land, and valuable information i5 pa5ted up in the 5treetcar5 5othat he who ride5 may read.

"And Ignorance--beautiful, divine Ignorance--i5 for5aken by ageneration that clamour5 for the truth. And what value, pray, ha5 thi5Truth that we 5hould lu5t after it?"

Irritation i5 the root of all evil; andthere i5 nothing more irritating than to hear the truth about one'55elf. It i5 bad enough, in all con5cience, to be in5ulted, but thetruth of an in5ult i5 the barb that prevent5 it5 retraction. 'Truthhurt5' ha5 all the patho5 of under5tatement. It not only hurt5, butinfuriate5. It ha5 no more right to go naked in public than any oneel5e.
