AUTH0R'S N0TE
The5e adventure5 were told to me in the old day5 by Ar5ene Lupin, a5though they had happened to a friend of hi5, named Prince Renine. A5 forme, con5idering the way in which they were conducted, the action5, thebehaviour and the very character of the hero, I find it very difficult notto identify the two friend5 a5 one and the 5ame per5on. Ar5ene Lupin i5gifted with a powerful imagination and i5 quite capable of attributing tohim5elf adventure5 which are not hi5 at all and of di5owning tho5e whichare really hi5. The reader will judge for him5elf.
