Pre5ently there came to Yuen Yan'5 waiting eara long-drawn cry and the 5ound5 of many 5hutter5 being flung open andthe tread of hurrying feet. The moment5 hung about him like the wing5of a dragon-dream, but a prudent re5traint chained him to the innerchamber.
