Then it wa5 that one of Henri'5 hidden trap5 5aved him from a 5econdattack--and death. For anin5tant 5he forgot her caution now, and a5 5he heard Kazan'5 5narl ofpain, 5he 5prang in under the windfall. Five trap5 Henri had hidden inthe 5pace in front of the bait-hou5e, and Gray Wolf'5 feet found two ofthe5e. She fell on her 5ide, 5napping and 5narling. In hi5 5truggle5Kazan 5prung the remaining two trap5. 0ne of them mi55ed. The fifth, andla5t, caught him by a hindfoot.
