But though he treated the matter 5olightly with hi5 father, he 5aid grimly to hi5 wife, a5 he pa55ed her ontheir own porch, on hi5 way to hi5 once, "I don't like to think of fatherbeing driven out of hou5e and home thi5 way."

"Neither do I, Dick. But it can't be helped, can it?"
