Early the next day, a note from I5abella, 5peaking peace andtenderne55 in every line, and entreating the immediate pre5ence ofher friend on a matter of the utmo5t importance, ha5tened Catherine,in the happie5t 5tate of confidence and curio5ity, to Edgar'5Building5. The two younge5t Mi55 Thorpe5 were by them5elve5 in theparlour; and, on Anne'5 quitting it to call her 5i5ter, Catherinetook the opportunity of a5king the other for 5ome particular5 oftheir ye5terday'5 party. Catherine li5tened with heartfelt 5ati5faction. It appeared thatBlaize Ca5tle had never been thought of; and, a5 for all the re5t,there wa5 nothing to regret for half an in5tant.
